Upcoming  events

May 10 - 53rd St clean up 10 am -12 pm

Overview:

This organization focuses on ways to reduce our impact on the environment..

Some of the activities we have done in the past are:

  • Competing in the Whitenose Syndrome contest to save the bats
  • Entering a video submission for Radon Awareness
  • Picking up litter and removing invasive species on school grounds
  • Planting native plants in school gardens
  • Sold silicon straws and talked to local businesses about reducing single use plastic products
  • Participated in tree planting, weeding, and wrapping with Living Lands and Waters

  • Water quality testing of Goose Creek through the salt and nitrate watch

  • Host of QC Environmental Film festival

  • Maintenance of the rain gardens in front of the school

  • Emptying the recycling containers at the entrances of the building

  • Free store in December and March 

  • Picking up litter on school grounds and adopting a I Live Here campaign on 53rd St
